From April through October of each year, Master Gardeners provide answers to gardening questions from homeowners, while answering the phone in the Extension Office.  This allows Cooperative Extension to expand its home horticultural educational programs.  To ask a question, call  302-856-2585 ext. 535.   Volunteers staff the office from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  After staffing hours, please leave a detailed message with your name, address and telephone number so that we can better help you with your gardening questions.  If you plan to visit the office, please call 856-7303 prior to your visit to confirm a meeting time when a volunteer or staff member can meet with you.

Plant and Insect Samples can be submitted during normal office hours 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday -Friday.
Please fill out the appropriate form with current information.  A volunteer or staff member will respond to your request as quickly as possible.

Walk in the Woods

The Master Gardeners encourage schoolchildren to learn more about their environment through the Walk in the Woods program.  Each fall, Master Gardeners take classes of schoolchildren for a walk along a wooded trail, pointing out the trees and shrubs growing along the way.  They also help the children looks for evidence of wildlife living in the woods.

Fisher Martin Herb Garden
